The darker nature of Goldwing’s songs has resulted in a work where each piece shares a thematic link, as the vulnerable singer reveals his deepest fears while searching for answers in the face of impossible difficulties. Considering the obstacles faced thus far it is almost certain that current struggles will continue to yield new progressive music with a message that will resonate with all lovers of music. After releasing their self-titled debut album in 2013, they quickly received industry recognition while placing first in the Renaissance Song Writing Contest for “L-L- Love” and first in The Great American Song Writing Contest (Nashville) with “Almost Famous”. And in 2015 the band was named finalists in Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Artist Mentorship Program. Goldwing has since opened stages for USS, The Mahones, Rural Alberta Advantage, and The Glorious Sons, all while becoming a fixture in the Kingston music scene with their weekly residency at The Toucan.
