Suns Of Static began as a basement studio project in 2008. The band has had many members come and go, releasing two self-produced full-length albums: Begin Again (2010) and Rise (2014). Currently playing/writing as a four-piece with BiL Cassidy (guitar/vocals), John Callahan (guitar/vocals), Darrin McMillan (bass) and Jordan Bulhoes (drums), the group continues to refine and evolve their sound and approach to songwriting.
Highlights include opening for Thornley and Mini Mansions Michael “Mikey Shoes” Shuman from Queens Of The Stone Age) at The Alehouse in Kingston, two successful gigs at The Legendary Horseshoe in Toronto, and winning a showcase to play at the 2015 Belleville Independant Music Festival with Treble Charger.
Known locally for putting on tight live shows with catchy hooks and powerful grooves, Suns Of Static continues on their musical journey in 2015/16 with a third album of new songs with a focus on simpler arrangements, interesting harmonies and catchy, memorable hooks and melodies.
