Sheila Bedard is a singer/songwriter who has enjoyed performing in and around her hometown of Kingston, Ontario Canada. She grew up listening to a wide range of different music, but lists her main influences as Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt. She has performed in many bands since the age of 18, both as a drummer and rhythm guitarist. During this time she had the pleasure of performing alongside such acts as The Wilkinsons, Prescott Brown, and Tommy Cash. Her songs are a reflection of her life’s experiences, and so are delivered with passion. In 2001, her singing and song writing abilities placed her 3rd in the Country Music Showdown in Kingston, giving her the confidence to pursue her career further. In 2003, Sheila signed a recording contract with an independent company in Florida. Unfortunately, due to artistic conflicts with the company, she made the decision to stay at home in Canada. Now free from contractual obligations, Sheila has finally gone back into studio armed with more inside knowledge and some new songs. The result is her debut CD “Life is good”, which has caught the attention of MrBenidorm Records in the UK. Sheila has recently been signed to the label, which markets her CD on all major download sites worldwide. You can hear Sheila perform mainly with the group THE MONARCHS, and also with COUNTRY RHYTHM. Keep checking back as Sheila continues to add new songs.
