His roots are in the Maritimes (his parents and grandparents hail from Newfoundland & Cape Breton) but Kevin’s musical career was born in Ontario where he attended school and honed his musical abilities playing in the folk clubs as well as a few bands in the Halton Hills areas in the late sixties/early seventies.
After a brief stint in Montreal performing in various folk clubs, Kevin was drawn to the Maritimes where he began his full time career as a songwriter, band leader and actor. It was there he recorded his first LP (No Frills), with his band and several guest musicians. During this period Kevin toured extensively throughout the Maritimes as a solo artist, band leader and as an actor with the Neptune Theatre.
He returned to Ontario, where he performed in many shows, festivals and theatre gigs with the NAC and even as host of a cable entertainment program. He recorded two more full length albums/CDs of original material. His 1997 release “Hear them Calling” garnered a good deal of radio airplay, and his most recent CD was recorded live in Gananoque and released in 2013.
