Madelin Dawson: Southern Ontario gothic aficionado Evan Jackson is a singer/songwriter born and based in Kingston. Growing up an only child in a family with an appreciation for music, he realized early on that this was the way he was going to discover and express himself. Filling his ears with the likes of Neko Case and Sarah Harmer he absorbed the sounds of those he loved, played their music, and let it bring influence to his own. Always ready to share and perform, he began playing shows in his early teen years. With his voice and an acoustic guitar Evan will weave stories that are heartfelt and electrifying. Currently studying education at Queen’s University, he hopes to teach music and continue to share song with everyone.
