RHCP tribute Parallel Universe

Voodoo Rockfest

The origin of Parallel Universe goes back more than ten years, when the Red Hot Chili Peppers recorded the album Stadium Arcadium. The power of creativity and musical energy generated by AK, Flea, John and Chad created a fault in space time that gave birth to a parallel universe ...

In Laval, 2006. Maxime Sheridan (John Frusciante) and Alex Ménard (Chad Smith) met for the first time. Their passion for music and RHCP led them to form a trio tribute to RHCP. The group performed once in a show, but after a few unsuccessful attempts to find their Flea and Anthony, the project was on ice.

Montréal  2015. The band is back to life thanks to the fantastic encounter between Maxime Tremblay and Mathieu Laberge (Anthony Kiedis). The four Funky Monks take advantage of it this new relationship to build a solid repertoire of songs and deliver a few solid performances.

Unfortunately, Maxime Tremblay left the group for personal reasons. This lead to  Frédérick Filiatrault (Flea) taking over as bassist towards the end of 2015. The quartet is now complete and more faithful than ever to the legendary group of L.A.
